「I dreamed of you.（我梦见你了。）」

Ellis开始挤牙膏。

温昉抬起头。

「I dreamed that you called me Xiao Shi.（我梦见，你叫我萧恃。）」

温昉的动作顿住了。

「I'm so wronged.（我好委屈。）」

「I know you hate your name. Your father isn't great.（我知道你讨厌你的名字，你的父亲不是一个好人。）」温昉放下了筷子，「But I'm afraid that if I behave like before, you will rely on me too much.（但我害怕，如果我表现得像从前那样，你会过度依赖于我。）」

Ellis愣住了。

「When you were a child, you relied on me for everything. You would cry if I was late. You would be unhappy all day if I didn't show up.（小时候，你干什么都依赖于我。我要是来晚了，你会哭；我要是没有出现，你就会一整天都不高兴。）」温昉缓缓说道，「I'm not that good, Ellis. I can't guarantee that I will always be there.（我没有那么厉害，Ellis，我不能保证永远在你的身边。）」

「Then where did you go during those six years when you disappeared?（你消失的那六年去哪里了？）」

「……I went to study medicine.（……我去学医了。）」温昉说，「Your father sponsored me on the condition that I not contact you for four years. I thought that if I became a doctor, I could come back and take care of you.（你的父亲资助了我，前提是四年内不能联系你。我想，如果我成为了医生，我就可以照顾你了。）」

他没有说出口的那句话是：但我没想到，等我回来的时候，你已经病成了那样。

「You could have told me.（你本可以告诉我的。）」Ellis说道，声音有些发抖，「You could have just told me.（你本该告诉我的。）」

Ellis低头，看着碗中已经快要凉了的云吞面。

二人没再说话，但他们之间，有什么东西消失不见了。
